Re: The All new Reeder Megathread
Booked all our camping trips for the year last week, always nice at this time of year to think about being out in the sunshine later on in the year

Re: The All new Reeder Megathread
We have been given a car seat for our grandson. It comes with no fitting instructions and I'm not happy with it's adjustment rods fitment. Wife has been on tinter web searching for ages. I can see a frustrating day ahead followed by throwing it in the bin.

Is it an ISOfix attachement that needs mounting points in the car or one that uses the seatbelt to attach to? If it's ISOfix and your car doesn't have the mounting points you're on a wild goose chase. We went for seat belt mounted as we knew it could be put in other people's cars too. |

Re: The All new Reeder Megathread
Daughter has an ISOfix one for him in their car so we cannot use it in ours.
The problem was with the rods that allow the seat to tilt within the base. They are loose and as both the car and the bairn move about I can see them working free, which is how it arrived. Common sense has prevailed and we will collect a new one from Halfords in an hour. I'm not at all happy that it is safe so it's in the bin.

Re: The All new Reeder Megathread
As well as the ISOfix car seat, the daughter has a "travel system" push chair which the seat detaches from and straps into the car, so we have been using that. Now however although he still easily fits in the seat it has a weight limit for use in the car which he exceeds. Hence the need for a seat.
On a separate note Halfords said the chair would be ready in an hour and the wife would get a text, she was delighted. Two hours later she is no longer delighted. Why didn't they say 3 hours and text her in 2, wife would be happy with that as we don't need it till tomorrow. Raising expectation levels and then not achieving them is not good for customer satisfaction.
