That's exactly why I normally raise the tray on a frame.

The last one I did I fitted a low profile shower trap made by Wirquin, something like 40mm in height

Which conversion did you use for the handlebars? I’ve been looking into it myself recently as the SV’s riding position is making me uncomfortable. I’ve recently installed braided lines though and I’d need to replace them again which is putting me off at the moment. The bike looks amazing by the way, I’d like a black frame on mine but I don’t have the know how to strip it down and get it back together

I had decided to get stuck in to a curvy solo seat hump I'd bought a while ago, it only took 7 hours of sanding to remove 5 different colours/layers of paint! It must now be 2lb lighter, but now in a virgin state ready for a fresh coat of primer in preparation for some nice new top coat.
I'm still debating whether to go with the bike colour or try something creative.. ie... 80's Suzuki race team colours!?. Time will tell I guess.

I'd make it match...that's not to say things can't spiral and you don't do the whole bike in 80's race stripes
