It could be that an advert on facebook using flash played a beep through your speakers.
It could be that Windows sound events had been changed somehow to beep on click of certain objects (Vista does it by default on menu clicks). It could be hackers attacking the laptop & it gave you a "silent alarm beep." (Figured I'd better put the smiley so you don't get paranoid). To be honest though, without hearing it, it's hard to tell. |
