Re: SV performance and limits
The bikes less than twelve months old and has only done 1700 miles so I doubt its the rear shock.
Think its just time to move on!! 636 soon! |

Re: SV performance and limits
I love my sv650 but i really want more power what would you guys recommend that would be similar but has a large increase in power. I like full sport bikes but every one has them so i am thinking something a little more off the beaten path and recommendations would be good.

Re: SV performance and limits
I think if your SV is beaten by an Integra, old or new, then it's not running too well. (Unless you're talking about a sprint from 100mph to 130+). 650's do 1/4 mile in around 12 seconds at well over 100mph don't they? That's way beyond Integra Rs and is more of a match for the 06 Bimmer M5

Re: SV performance and limits
For straightline terrifying, get a TL. For going round corners, the SV needs suspension upgrades as the forks are crap and the back shock is too basic. Once done though, it does go round corners, but no-one seems to believe it till they see it.

Re: SV performance and limits
Actually if you want power AND handling just get a sports thousand, i've been on my brothers 06 ZX10R, can only describe it with one word. Fierce. Why not just go for the new ZX6R instead of the 636?

Re: SV performance and limits
This was on the motorway so we were already up towards a ton, and to be honest the first thing I knew of us 'racing' was when he went flying past me.
Im only eleven stone in weight BTW Similar thing happened a couple of weeks ago with an Aston Martin Vantage, from 30mph to about 120mph. Once we got to about 90 I might as well have got off and pushed lol!! |
