I'd follow Sosha's advice, I know its not for SVs but you need to post this where the real boffins will see it, most of us lot apart from Ape maybe will have no idea! Does sound Soulkiss is thinking along the right lines, but Sid Squid would know for sure I'm guessing.

Or just ride it under 5000rpm

At a guess, I would have suggested the ideal place to post would be the technical section of a CBR600RR forum.

I'd also suggest seeing as the loom has been tampered with, it would actually take a physical look before being able to give a specific diagnosis.
