And if you read the time on my post and the time on yours then you will see that I was typing while you were posting!
Also, the bloke on the gixxer was doing 140mph...and it is a one-off so far, they've abviously looked into it and realised what the fault was and therefore they are recalling...

No they allude as if they identified the problem without any outside influence or complaint.

The speed mentioned regarding the Gixxer was well within the speed rating of the tyre.

You nor I really know if there are more such instances of tyre break down.

What if it were only the one? What if it had happened to you with your bike? Your nonchalant attitude would remain the same?

What if Michelin had managed to silence tales of many such instances?

Yes, fully agree but I seriously doubt it...
That sort of thing would be out straight away. Besides, as stated before, I wont be doing 140mph over the next few days anyway

No disrespect meant at all, but the fact you are very unlikely to use 2CT's to their limits would I suggest add a little to your previous comments. (You were so willing to forgive and forget Michelin for producing a tyre that now has many people wondering)

Michelin are doing the right thing, the only thing in truth to help salvage this situation. What I objected to was that they have placed "spin" on their motivation for doing so. No more than that.

We are after all talking of tyres at the top end of the price range, with sales speel telling that they are full of Moto GP technology(did we really want them to be so authentic that chunks flew out of them like Rossi's did last year?)

A recall for 68'000 though a financial blow, will be I suggest a pittance in comparison with what they have earned thus far from world wide sales of those tyres.

Mr Pedrosa, Sir......

....your English seems to have improved in very short order

It is remarkable that this should happen when you are a tad "wound up" - most normal folks typing goes to bits in such circumstances

Mr.Jobbie, some people develop a stammer when a little discord arises. For me, (assisted by my recent acquisition of a Linguaphone course) I find my sentence structure become more,,,,well structured. This has indeed opened up a whole new world!
