Hey,

I've been scanning this forum for bits and bobs the past couple of months and have yet to sign up so as not to make a complete fool of myself. I had to after noticing this thread however as i've been experiencing similar problems with my controller. It seems it will not function when my bike is stationary, even with engine running for a while, however they kick in after moving off.

What is especially confusing, is they will not turn on lets say, if i stop at junction, after spending 10 minutes going about everywhere. I can't see why the bike has to be moving for them to turn on. Apart from that they are excellent and get damn hot which was lovely at 5 this morning.

i have had this problem for a while goes off when brakes are put on switch to high beam revs drop etc. I think its just the new control the bit that sense battery voltage doesnt seem to like my sv battery voltage whenever any of the above happens.

just fitted mine, the bike is started in the garage i will go and see how hot they are in 5

but on my other bike they would turn off it i put the lights on, i think if your battery or charging system is not in tip top condition it may result in hotgrip failure

Oh, you needn't worry about that, there's plenty of members that make silly people look quite boring and sane

Ok, after holding the button down for 5 secs last night, the controller came on. Didnt check if the grips heated up, I wanted my dinner (woo). I'll fix it onto the bike tonight (if i get time) and then see what happens what I use various electrical things like lights, indicators etc. If its crap, then I'll prob then go build myself one.

Grinch, I agree. I like the old controller, simple click button and twiddle knob to suit. But you can't get them now, grrrr

Oxford Products - Made to work with all bikes, dosn't work properly with any of them

Fit Daytona heated grips and all your troubles will be history. Oxford ones have always been rubbish and I don't know why people still buy them.

See told you so!

I've not had any issues with mine turning off, they wont turn on while the bikes not running but that's a good thing where I'm concerned
