I'll have to see what happens. Saturdays can be a bit tricky for me.

Its only as the Sunday that week is Mothers Day and I want to enjoy my bike for the rest of the year

Open for other rides. If no ones about I may head to the lakes instead just want to get out a bit and experience some new roads

Go on then, I'll go for the 25th. I'll meet you in Bala. What time are you aiming for? I could sort a few routes out if you like? How are you with narrow lanes and small mountain roads?

Anyone else joining us? Mike, are you on the road currently?

My bike has been in storage for a year while me moved etc. Brought it home to the new garage before winter and found it has developed a badly leaking fork seal. Not had time to fix, but judging by the amount of oil that has seeped out I'd rather not ride it until fixed. Finding time has been an issue.

I'm also probably a bit too large around the middle to fit my biking clothing! But that's another issue.

Thats the route I was looking at but happy to take advice from anyone more experienced in the area. Looking to leave about 9 so Bala for around 11 ok?

Been fine on country and moutain roads in 4 wheel vehicles of various shapes and sizes from Fiat Uno to Daf 16 seat minibus over the last 20 odd years but only had my bike license a little under 18 months and didn't get any really decent rides in last year

I ride within my limits and happy to try anything as long as you don't get annoyed with a newbie if I am a little slower in some areas

That's a shame on both counts Mike! We'll have to try and get a few border patrol rides sorted this year. Maybe one later this year for you?

Don't worry about speed, I'm out for a ride not a race!

Col, are you up for joining us?

Had been hoping to get out with a friend this afternoon. We were going to take my girls with us, they've been looking forward to getting out for a ride. The weather is so crap though, that we've abandoned the idea.
