Yep, I'd be up for doing it a few times, once is not enough

I was through for the learn-to-board-in-a-day yesterday, finally got out on the slopes. The rental gear's surprisingly good, boards are all unidirectional and stiff as, well, boards but all the gear's in good shape and they have a good range of sizes too. The clothes they rent out (fiver for a set) are decent Trespass stuff, hardly top of the range but they're warm and have inner linings to keep the snow out of your crack... Which it took me a while to figure out The instruction was absolutely brilliant, too, though the one-hour groups are much larger than ours was and the learner slope was a little crowded- I only hit one small child, despite their best efforts. Very impressed all round. I'm still rubbish, mind.

I think the sledging is open to adults, though! Certainly to parents, not sure about drunkards but I'm sure we could find ourselves a small child if need be. Anyone got any puppies?

Anyways, had a bit of a scout about, and yes it's much busier on saturdays. Queues for the tow ropes on the slope, though not madly busy until my brother caused a traffic jam by falling off 6 times Some queues for the other stuff, but nothing too massive, maybe 5, 10 minutes for the miniature golf, about the same for the robocoaster. Think the fan drop was off, and the cinema's still not open, the food places were busy but not quite overrun.

In other words, busy but not so busy that I wouldn't go again on a saturday. The atmosphere was great, never aggressively crowded, just busy.

I was rubbish I mean, proper rubbish, not just a little bit. I have to ride the wrong way round, I ought to lead with my right leg but it's still not fit enough so I have to basically go backwards the whole time. Means all the turns felt really unnatural, so I was always losing my bottle halfway through and crashing. But I was starting to get the hang of it after, eh, 6 hour of constant tuition

The numbers are really low... I'm still up for it but we're one drop-out off being Too Few, I reckon, so I'd throw it open for maybe cancelling and rescheduling, what do we think?

Well, I'm still in... Abby, are you bringing Al? That'd be better numbers...

I'm going to book myself a boarding lesson that afternoon anyways, I think, so I'll be through regardless... Though I think I'll stay off the bevvy and ride through, makes it all miles easier. Don't be fooled folks, Braehead's about as far from Glasgow as aberdeen is

Not sure will check - he's been in and out of hospital so not sure if he'll be up for anything - but never say never - he can look after the drinks
