Best way is to leave a stub of tubing on the front pots vacuum spigot and leave it plugged and route it up to the wire clip behind the headstock, makes it a 20 minute job to do next time if that.

I'll second that. £1 for some clear poly pipe from a DIY store.

No idea why the blue poofters would go to all the trouble of doubling the complications and possible air leaks in the vacuum system, seems like a faff about to me, compared to one bit of tube and a bit of bar to block the end.
