Re: North West 200
Lol Northwind over its' worse that calling a Scotsman English.
As for advice where to stay - there are hundreds of B&B's dotted all over the north coast with quite a few hotels as well. Only problem is a lot of them are booked out a year in advance so if you are thinking of going you should be booking your bed now. Or take a tent. Pity I'm moving - I could have made a killing here lol. Nev. |

Ulster Grand Prix.
Still going very strong but no where near as popular as the Nortwest 200. The Northwest is like a Mecca for bikers. Once you go you try and go as many years as you can. That was one of the few advantages of living in Northern Ireland. Nev. |

Re: North West 200
Yeah. The NW200 is really good. I think Sid Squid goes there some years?
(btw, if you're English, you wont really have any bother, but just to be safe I would stay away from using words like Eire all the same.) |

Indeed, to suggest that the "Black and Tans" were a jolly bunch of chaps is not to be advised in certain quarters either!

Re: North West 200
You know I'm really enjoying this thread lol.
It's good to see some English people who actually know something about over here - all be it small things. I mean absolutely no offence by that by the way. It is probably one of the friendliest places you could ever visit and even more so now than during the troubles. Yes there are certain things you would be best not to say in certain places but isnt that true everywhere? Anyway to anybody coming over for it - you will have an absolute blast. It is a fantastic weekend and the racing you will see will scare the pants off you. Only thing to remember is that when you are on your way home you are a mere mortal so don't think you have inherited Bruce Ansteys riding styles just by watching him. It's easy to be fooled. Nev. |
