Re: Win10
It's not the unknown I'm worried about, it's that I know there's going to be some reason It's a bag of crap straight out the door.
No way I would have had win8 on my home PC the first six months of having it on my works one. |

Re: Win10
yea before 8.1 came out 8 was a pain out of the box. I stripped mine down and got rid of all the "metro apps" and just got into the mindset of clicking "desktop" when it first booted (before you had the option) once it was bodged I loved it haha.

Re: Win10
I've been using the preview for a while and it seems okay, just like 8.1 but without all the rubbish.

Re: Win10
Check the info tray in the bottom right corner (at least that's where it is if using 7). Extra symbol popped in there today like a whit Windows logo.

Re: Win10
It's a shame they aren't offering it as an upgrade from Vista. All our work PCs are on Vista and it would be great to upgrade to something better for free! Haven't actually had a play with Win10 yet, too much time spent playing with Linux instead

Re: Win10
I have 7 at home, wonder if I could put 10 on as dual boot, to give it a go? Not used 8 at all

Re: Win10
You'd probably have to upgrade Windows 7 to 10 then install 7 again, but should be doable.
