Re: Broken toes. Thanks mr cage driver.
Out of interest, what boots were you wearing?
I've often wondered how protected I'd be in my SIDIs should a car drive over my foot... especially as my commute is almost entirely filtering. I'd hate to think what an HGV would do :/ |

Re: Broken toes. Thanks mr cage driver.
Nah your post was fine mate. I came off worse in the end so I won't feel too bad. I was wearing some Daytona boots. No protection on the toes at all at the expense of water proofing and comfort. Bit of a weird incident though so hope it won't happen again. I will certainly be more mindful of where car wheels are!!

Re: Broken toes. Thanks mr cage driver.
I had someone drive over my foot once, i was in the middle of my lane and she filtered past me But I got instant revenge by dropping the bike on her car. No broken toes though.

Re: Broken toes. Thanks mr cage driver.
I've had the same happen to me. Break any toes and certainly didn't resort to vandalism.
The guy was getting quite agitated that I was blocking his path. He gave me a bit of verbal and asked if I was ever going to get out of his way. I told him quite calmly that should he like to remove his wheel from my foot I would see what I could do. He looked out of his window, down at his front wheel and then quite sheepishly reversed a touch. Seriously, regardless of what they have done or how annoyed you get, retaliation is stupid. They are in a vehicle that can cause you serious harm if not kill you. Who is to say the vehicle is not stolen, not insured or registered to the driver. Anything could have happened. |

Re: Broken toes. Thanks mr cage driver.
This was an accident with personal injury and should have been reported to the police. Tbh apart from that you would have had a personal injury claim against him and could have got a few quid out of it, off to hospital, toes bandaded up, cant walk etc, a decent solicitor would have got you a few grand.
