This is what god invented sports touring tyres for I'm going to something more touring orientated for this trip, Mind you I am getting about 3K out of a rear Diablo Corsa III so it might be doable on one tyre.

I'm going and I am really looking forward to it, its going to be ace.

If you can live with the steep profiles on Pirellis, try Stradas - I get 8000+ Miles out of a rear on my ZX6R. I have never lacked for grip - except when I ran wide onto some grass

I was going to go for Metzler Z6's, near as damn it the same as the Strada. I had them on my SV and really like them
