Re: losing a loved one.
Thoughts are with you, Gid.
My eldest daughter (my only natural child) has a heart condition called Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, she was diagnosed with it from a very early age. My mother and I both have the same condition, but Caz is far worse than either of us. At 11 months old she underwent her first operation to have a heart valve replaced and then again at 11 years old for the same thing. When she was 19 she suffered a massive heart attack after a small shunt in her car and had to be resucitated at the roadside by paramedics. We very nearly lost her twice over the next week as she was incredibly ill. Two months after the crash she had yet another heart valve replacement. Over the next year or so she slowly recovered enough to return to work and is now stuck on a regular diet of drugs for the rest of her life to keep her going. Caz is 28 this year, and the consultants tell us she's getting stronger all the time. I know how I felt at the time she had the heart attack, and my Caz survived, I really can't imagine how it would have been to lose her completely. Seriously, Gid, my thoughts really are there with you. |

Re: losing a loved one.
Sorry to hear.
Terrible thing for anyone to go through. Some pains never go away, you just learn to deal with them. Thoughts out to you and the family.

Re: losing a loved one.
Subject very close to my heart at the moment, Gid. My brother would have celebrated his 40th birthday tomorrow.
