Actually, twitter has a place. Part of my job is to look for any potential business benefit in this stuff.
When its used to post updates about what you are deciding to eat for breakfast etc then I agree its a waste of time but there are situations where it can be pretty useful. In a work environment I find that it fits nicely somewhere between email and blog posts. My team colleagues and I have started to use Twitter to post short sharp updates that would not necessarily have justified an email or would have demanded too much research and effort to put together a decent blog post. Like anything, you need a reason for it. |

I use it, some is drivel I admit but I also post updates or questions for friends etc. Brettnet on there if anyone else is daring to venture in there
