If you like I could meet you somewhere en route? I`m in Crosby so only a few miles away from you and I imagine you`ll be passing my front door on your way to the meet up |

Re: Sunday 19th September 2010 - Ride!
Just a though Chris but I anticipate Ruthin and maybe some of the surrounding roads might be busy on Sunday due to a cycling event. Would it be best to maybe avoid Ruthin? we could perhaps meet up instead at A & D Motorcycles in Denbeigh?

Re: Sunday 19th September 2010 - Ride!
Claire is right, the Castle Park Cafe may be busy as it is the closest cafe to the event field and there will be lots camping. The roads should not be mobbed with cyclists as it is an off-road event, but be careful if going over the Clwyd Gate on the A494 Ruthin-Mold road, the courses cross the road there and the cyclists will be knackered as it is only 5km from the finish.

Yeah I had thought this... with you both saying this I agree it's best to avoid. Save those roads for another day!
A (rather large) amendment then: http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&so...,0.870667&z=10 If everyone is happy with that? |

Re: Sunday 19th September 2010 - Ride!
Good stuff, looks to be a decent turnout!
Everyone, I've amended the first post to reflect the new route. I could have left in parts of it and just skipped Ruthin, but if we're heading towards Denbigh it makes to take in a couple of nice roads over that way. |
