I simply don't know what to write.

Dave was a good friend of mine as Billy has already mentioned and I have seen a fair bit of him recently, when I've been able to ride my Cappuccino machine Triumph!

At the moment I feel like someone has ripped the rug out from under me.

I'm sure Dave wouldn't have been at fault - I've ridden with him countless times and he has alwas been very sensible and an excellent rider.

I know that Ian's PC is down at the moment which is why he hasn't posted something already but I'm just about to head over there to have a bit of a bleary-eyed drink with him and his parents, who also knew Dave well.

RIP and God speed, buddy.

So very sad.

Was he a user of these Forums? Not that it makes any difference.

I read the BBC with such a heavy heart. I am always so sad to read of a bad bike smash. Tim, Ian, Billy and Debs - I am so, so sorry. I pray for strength for his family and friends.

Dave, as far as I know, had not frequented our forum, though he onced paid me a compliment while following me on the SV.... "they're not easy to keep up with..." he mentioned after climbing off of his Aprilia Mille.

Dave was one of the nicest guys I've ever met. I met him the same day I was formerly introduced to Chutz, and he was the ultimate laid back biker. A great guy, good company, and a fantastic friend!
