stops people talking about the recession then the economy gradually gets better (quicker!) - co-incidence or a well laid plan

I dealt with my first swine flu patient today..... before entering the house I had to don a surgical mask, goggles, apron, 3 pairs of gloves and shoe protectors. The family were trying to keep it from their neighbours so as not to cause a panic.

I think the neighbours might suspect now!

well, whatever your views o the media overreaction, spread of the pandemic etc, all I can say is I've got it and its not nice!

btw, everything I'd gleaned about the symptoms are true. all came on v quickly and I've had a high fever. this is the first time I've surfaced in 24hrs other than to phone the doctor and answer the door to my bf/fb who very kindly picked up the tamiflu and bought a rather challenging selection of groceries to keep me going. For once in my life I fancied plain mashed potato (now I know why they give it to you in hospital) but got soya beans in chilli sauce instead!
