I've been using them (only when I have to) for the last 12 years and they're as bad now as they were then

Were they not the outfit that Cloggsy took to court (and won against)?

Re: Unfriendly & Freindly Bike Shops
Good:
HG Manchester J&S Northwich ESB Bolton B&C Performance Tyres, Farnworth (Not strictly a bike shop but worth a mention cos they're fantastic). Indifferent: Orrell Motorcycle Centre - have had good service from them in the past, but recently went in for 5l of oil only to be told their parts desk was closed. Don't they want my money or something?? If I worked there I would either a) offer to nip out the back and get the item for the customer if it's something I know we have in stock, or b) sell oil in the main shop in the first place along with all the other lubricants like WD40 etc |

Good (as EL_Saxo said)
ESB Bolton B&C Performance Tyres, Farnworth (Not strictly a bike shop but worth a mention cos they're fantastic). VERY Good VisorsDown in Horwich - These guys are brilliant, always willing to help (they took some sliders off stock leathers to sell to me instead of waiting), always clean yer helmet if its dirty (oooh eerrrrrr!), give you bottled cold water in summer and best of all give you a discount!

Re: Unfriendly & Freindly Bike Shops
HG Leeds = Excellent service whatever you spend! No coffee though.
J & S in Leeds (opposite HG) lousy service. |

Re: Unfriendly & Freindly Bike Shops
Good, HG in Bristol.
not had any bad expeiances. I would disagree with the bad experiances with GW in Swindon, although i tend to just browse normally, funnly enough they were very helpfull when i was ordering a brand new bike! I do know what you mean about some of the staff. THe girls in the clothing department dont look like they ride at all. |
