OK this has got a bit out of hand, just everyone chill.

I think everyone is busy and has other things they could do, in this time of rising fuel prices and stressful jobs we just need to take some time out. We do need more rideouts, both im-promptu and larger organised but we need to take into account peoples circumstances. Everyone is feeling the pinch and a couple of tanks of petrol soon takes it toll, people have things going on and also the weather doesn't always inspire fun. Also this isn't a GM phenomenon and every section is feeling it.

I think peoples comments have been taken the wrong way and people over-reacting but on the flip side you can't tell when someone is having a laugh or smiling and some comments could of been re-worded.

I for one think ET's and sarahs rideouts are great along with other organised rideouts and I also think Marks idea of some impromptu rideouts would be good too and would happily come to either if they are still on/organised. People have different circumstances as I've said and it really is horses for courses.

Lets not fall out over this and if you could re-post the offer of the thursday rideout Mark that would be great and also if anyone wants to do a rideout big or small, soon or later on just post it.

Now who's for a cold beer and let this thing blow over, if the rideout offer is still on I would come but you better have some good roads, after the alps I get depressed easily on British roads

Oh FFS! Play nicely children. NOw who's going topick up all these toys that have been thrown out of prams?

Right firstly the lack of rideouts; it has already been said that if you fancy arranging a rideout then post up about it. I know you do Mark but unfortunately not many of us can spare our eveings for a couple of hours I know I certainly cant especially at short notice i.e the next evening. I have lots of commitments at the weekends and need to know about it quite far in advance.

What would you prefer on a ride out, a complete shambles where the route isn't known by anyone but the person who has organised it, no corner markers (depending on size of thge group obviously) etc etc or a ride out where the route is sorted out before hand with places to stop for fuel and food etc where people wont be worried about getting lost/left behind (except Stu of course ) and that sort of thing.

Generally the rides that Sarah and ET have organised have been on the larger size and needed some organisation. Those rides are generally longer runs which seem to suit a fair number of people in the GM.

I've forgotten what riding for fun is like. TIme and money constraints prevent me at the moment.

All rideouts I've been on have been great. That solves that one.
