Today I went over Blackfriars bridge in the bus lane, like I do most days, but this time without that same sense of paranoia. Plus a few others that I didn't notice till halfway into London.
I've seen a few that are not marked for bikes, I take it these are not included.

It is only those that are on red routes.

And those without cameras on, natch.

I felt odd using the bus lane on the A501 (euston road way) this morning. Although the signs up now say bikes are definatly allowed in

Good point made by A*Hero

Remember to check the signs.

Where the A23 turns up towards the Imperial War Museum at Kennington is Biker Friendly only till about just past Kennington lane - then its Buses and Cycles only.

So watch out for being caught out.

I'm also aware that sometimes, vans and taxi's will pull into the bus lane without checking first that something is in the bus lane. All very well to use the bus lane to avoid stationary traffic, but I find its best to treat it like filtering...

Yep, they're full of taxi's... Normally you only see 3 buses at once so they are easy to miss.

By the way you all want to be very careful on buslanes. People on the normal lane letting people out/through is deadly as it can be totally unforeseeable. What ever you do don't bomb down them at 60mph (or anywhere over 30 really) as they're clear I was lucky enough to see the issue with that before it has been too late. ( I know young and foolish, hated my bike and all that.)
