Been a while since I've been in here but I'm from Warrington too. Just changed from a Blue Curvy to a Silver Pointy so will be out and about a lot more when the weather picks up to rack up the mileage

Just out of interest where do you guys go when you just pop out for an hour or so ride? Where are some good roads around here, Short of the cat and fiddle i cant think of too many that are reachable in a hour or so.

Fairly new to riding, only been on my SV a month now and not sure of many fun routes around here!

Ride up to Southport or to Rivington Barn. Just want a quick blast, then ride down the A49.
If your quick then you can get to the horseshoe pass in under an hour
There is probably a few places more, but memory is not strong.

I'm 17 miles from Warrington.
Some of the best roads around Cheshire way... Plenty of safety cameras too!

The A49 does lead to some great roads, apart from the east lancs!

Hi,

Normally head towards northwhich - A49 joining the A559 (nice bendys)
Stop at J&S look at all the pretty things ... have a brew

Towards manchester on the A556 to join the A56 (nice fast roads, i think two speed cameras). You can either then take the motorway (M6) home or keep on trucking down to the B5160. Cross the bridge (giving the guy a nod so you dont pay) then onto the A57 (some coppers with rayguns down there)

back into lovely warrington - takes about an hour or so...

This is a nice quick ride. (it dosnt usually take an hour mind...

Some nice wide bends heading down the A50.

A nice long arrow straight coming back up the a530

The some really nice twisty bits to the A559.

If your new to riding then this will be ideal... I used to ride it two or three times a week in my first year and it helped me gain loads of confidence!

Scotch Piper on a Wednesday night is good, especially as the nights get lighter. Not so much a great ride out, but always plenty of bikes there and the local scout group run a BBQ of burgers and hot dogs.
