This morning was about 40 minutes for a Muck-off spray, agitate & rinse, then a shampoo wash and wipe dry. In the summer it would get another 20 minutes or so of waxing as well.
Looks too good to ride to work tomorrow ![]() . |

A long summer day, sitting in the sun with a toothbrush and a radio can take upto 4 hours. Nowt better way to spend a summers day (apart from riding it, of course)

I said an hour... But that's reapplying ACF50 and a good coat of polish, and I don't clean it often so it's always louping... I park it up at my work and the pother bikes there get dirty by osmosis.

Weekly clean, j-cloth over lights, bodywork, swingarm, forks, etc. is 20 mins. Monthly clean (waxing the tank, cleaning under the back end, polishing downpipe) is one hour.
I understand the merit in regular cleaning (spotting things that are loose/missing, etc. before they cause an accident), but I really don't understand people who give the bike a "pride and joy" 3 hour clean after every ride. Bikes are to be ridden, they don't have to look like they're fresh off the factory floor 100% of the time. |
