Yeah - nice to get the feedback from the forum members. It does make you doubt yourself at first. Cheers. Al.

Get well soon.
Don't doubt yourself. 11 years especially in London is a fine record. And if you are honest it's still 11+ as you were a staiony object it's still on going!

GWS - ribs you never notice their there until you break or crack one. And I busted a couple riding a push bike commuting in London.
Hope you mend soon, and keep to the SV their way more fun. 8 1/2 years of push bike commuting - many near misses - some quite painful. Some down right scary - Being made to turn left by the lorry that just over took me. Once along side me he decided to turn left, my shoulder pressed to the side of the truck! Thank **** my handle bar didn't catch in the railing - (road bike) - luckily another cager saw it and slammed on their horn. Get well soon and don't let the **** wits put you off.

thanks - Blimey - that does sound scary. Enough to put some people off.
Well I've had the insurance assessor out and have been offered £1750. I think that is reasonable to be honest. K4 2004 plate 37500 miles, serviced by me. Bike was used come rain or shine so has the usual flaky forks paintwork.

Never accepted the first offer. I go and look at same low mileage bikes and see if you can get a better offer.

ah yes - I have had tickley cough shortly after getting home from hospital.
No sneezing though - I just don't want to think about that.....! Ok I went back to the assessor and the offer is £1850. I feel happy with that. Thanks for the advice, much appreciated.
