An article worth a read I feel..
http://www.techspot.com/news/20272-u...with-fine.html

Although the above is a bit scary, there does seem to be some moves to legalise this method of acquiring music.films etc. A recent case in France has just made the headlines...

Yhese kind of articles are interesting. They only ever seem to hit the people that are sharing and not the people that are 'acquiring' said material.

I in the past have used, Napster(In its old form) MixMX, E donkey, MP3sfinder. Mates use this wierd Bit Torrent, but i cant get it to work. I have stopped my downloading at the mo prefering to buy my music again. However, this may stop wehn i run out of room again which may be soon.

I had heard that Limewire is a honey trap. Is there anything to back that up?

I believe that there are a number of dodgy hacked versions of Limewire going around, with spyware and other nasties in them. If you get Limewire from the official website http://www.limewire.com you'll be OK.

Limewire from Here Not had a problem with it yet, as long as you keep the virus scanner up-to-date. if your downloading Avi files etc. then some won't work on Windows Media player so get the Div X player bundle aswell.

I will punish myself later for all my sins
