Re: Track days in the wet :(
Man!! Im bouncing up and down with excitment for my first trackday on tuesday.
Hoping to get my kneedown too and hopefully start feeling confident with right handers, can't seem to hang off on right handers that well.

Re: Track days in the wet :(
like everyone says: listen to the instructors...
At cadwell they had put cones on the corners - one to show where to start turning in, and one on the apex. Even after mentioning this in the brief & seeing instructors pointing at the cones on sighting laps, I still had about 3 or 4 people come up to me at the end of one of the afternoon sessions and ask how I knew the lines so well LOL.. In terms of kneedown - the first time it happened I shat myself as I was hanging off a little bit like I always do, but had run into a corner a little too hot and just leant it over a bit more to get through the corner. when all of a sudden KKKKGGHHHHHHHHH!! Footpeg, toe slider and knee slider all vibrating a little bit... the rest of the day I was turning in later and harder if I fancied a bit of kneedown Gonna faff about with this video getting the format right to edit in premiere (why oh why wouldn't an industry standard video editing program support such a common format as AVI?) - I didn't realise just how wide a line I was taking on some corners in an attempt to line up an overtake awesome day, fallen in love with cadwell park, more so than the mountain on the isle of man

Re: Track days in the wet :(
well with the economic downturn we just can't keep going at the rate we are young patrick - knowing what I do now about how hard I have to push in order to get my knee on the floor, I'll never try it on the open road 'cos it'll end in tears You can still take care of my road racing knee down stuff
btw, what the feck is wrong with my face in that photo?!

Re: Track days in the wet :(
I took a look at yours from Silverstone earlier TazDaz. Looks mental how wet it was. Was it lightning as well, looks it at points...?

Re: Track days in the wet :(
Slippy as fook that day - must have span the rear up a fair few times. There was still bits of mud here and there from the track re-profiling. It was pretty stormy all day, can't remember any lightening but wouldn't be surprised it if it did. Didn't really progress that much on that TD as it would dry a bit so you think you can go a bit quicker, then pi$$ down again - not to mention every corner had queues because it was fairly crap conditions.
