Hi Gary, All I would say is that does this one come with a baffle you can take in and out?. If not then consider the noise issue - i know we all like as much noise as possible but it is handy to have a baffle for those moments were a little peace is required such as MOT time, when you get stopped by the plod or on a quiet trackday. I understand that the American cans dont come with one and the build isnt as good as the Japanese Yoshi cans - from what i have seen/heard etc.

Carbon is ok on a twin but it will need to be repacked quicker than any other type of finish.

If your stuck and dont get it then i can always sort you a good deal being an SV rider and good customer!.

BTW have you seen those new Scorpian Extreme exhausts - they look pretty damn cool and arent that expensive compared to the Yoshi.

Aah pants, I knew there was one question I forgot to ask. I naturally assumed they were road legal.

I wanted a Japanese one but they didn't seem to have a tri oval when I looked at the Japan site.

as they don't have any markings on them saying they are not for road use, u can sometimes get away with it, but keep your old can for mot time, but watch out for mr pc plod

Yup the American made cans cant obviously gain EC approval for having a noise reduction baffle insert in them. Plus the TRC having a carbon end cap cannot accept a baffle thats why the japs havent done one yet as far as i know.

There is plenty available for your SV from Yoshi the only thing is though is that some styles are listed only for 2003 model as they havent taken into account on all of the exhaust designs the revised subframe height etc for the K4 onwards.

Hmm, I wish I wasn't such a tart, wanting a tri-oval.

It would have made my decision so much easier if there's a road legal tri-oval (that's not blueflame cos I fancy a change).

I know there's the TRC "cone", TRS "single tip", TRI "dual tip" and R-22 "bling" tri-ovals. I just scanned through the pages and read that the street TRS can use the same non race baffle as the oval street zyclones, forgetting the US probably has different dB limits anyway.

when you pop in for your bolts i can give them a call and check whats avail with a baffle for your year of SV seeing as the listings are listing some as K3 only yet other styles are K4 onwards.

they are available for k4-k6 in the US.

I'm considering importing mine, I can get carbon fiber TRS oval for the k6, including delivery, uk tax and customs duty for under £300 direct from yoshi (about $70 off rrp) I'm not sure what the prices are over here, but i guess they are higher.
