Re: Having Doubts
you just need more practice! If you're still not feeling confident and you've booked your second test for this weekend then maybe you should put it off for a bit longer, give yourself time to gain more confidence?

Re: Having Doubts
Have you got a pushbike??
Go practice the stuff you were doing last time on that round a deserted carpark. Sure you'll look a bit of a t1t, but it'll calm your nerves a bit on the day as you know what you are doing! edit: just read a few posts, you have a 125 you can practice on ... get down the corner of a supermarket carpark out of main trading hours and get it done woman The more time you spend on the bike, the more you will get use to it ... simple ... If you are being a bit carp, then take a 5 min break, have a little drink (water!!) and try again. Try not to pressure yourself!! See if you can get down there for an hour every night this week, come Sunday you will be so confident, you'll need to rename to Mrs24_Rossi!! Last edited by Blue_SV650S; 13-05-08 at 03:23 PM. |

Re: Having Doubts
I took four attempts at my CBT, only getting on the road on my last two. Honestly, don't think too much, just try and relax and learn all you can, it's a great opportunity to ask your instructor anything you want. It's much better than being a pillion once you get the hang of it, but it's tricky at first.
I learn slowly - but once I've got it, I've got it. Just learn at YOUR pace, and take in as much as you can. One attempt is nothing, bet you'll do much better this time now you have had time to go over stuff. I passed my actual test first time after all that, so happy ending, and yours will be too, just hang in there! |

That's brilliant - slow control is the hardest thing to master, so if he said that you are doing really well. |

Sounds like to me you need to work on your confidence issues. This will only come with time on the bike, theres no substitue for it and having a positive mental attitude, if you think "I cant do this" you will fail, if you think "I can do this" and keep practising then you will master it. Just relax and remember to breathe and talk yourself through each thing you do in your head and you'll be just fine. If its something that you really want to do then dont give up at the first hurdle.
