Re: Barmouth/Pwllheli
I was also on the A4212 today, saw 3 police bikes (all had pulled cars) on it.

Re: Barmouth/Pwllheli
Here's a pic of my bike on the Celyn dam (LLyn Celyn on A4212), gate was not locked. The photo is a bit pants because my camera battery was flat, so had to use my phone......
I also found out my phone takes pictures a bit funny, so this is tall and thin, not short and fat like intended. |

Re: Barmouth/Pwllheli
Saturday 20 June it is.
Meet up at Telford at 9.30, Shrewsbury at 10. Route as above. Basically Shrewsbury, A5, Knockin, Tanat Valley and over the Berwyns to Bala, A4212, right towards Porthmadog, on to Pwllheli. No detailed route plan this time as last time nobody read it, so we'll do a bit more spontaneity this time. Full tank of fuel essential as from Shrewsbury as fuel stops are few and far between - nothing really until Bala. If anyone from further afield would like to come then please PM me and I'll see what I can sort out re accommodating. Might be my tent in the garden if dryish or else my sleeping bag/s on the floor So you won't have to carry anything. So all you Londoners - if you want to know what a hill and a corner look like, then this might be your oppo OK? It's a brilliant ride through the Tanat Valley and over the Berwyns, on a fine day the views are fantastic. As long as you're not doing silly speed. As to which, the road around Llyn Celin is heavily policed so if you get pulled you have only yourself to blame... Ed Last edited by Ed; 08-06-09 at 08:49 PM.
