'Tis but a state of mind thing, done four days in a row on track, but admittedly they weren't all full days. It's a bit like skiing, you ache after the first day but the body soon adapts.

Agree there. It's weird, as Tim knows on the Motorrad course you are on the Nurburgring a good 5 hours solid (that's after the warm up, training on a section where you do about 100 u-turns and walk part of the track) for 2 days. On a regular trackday you get about 2 hours. I didn't ache at all even after the ride back from the RIng but a day after a UK trackday and I'm shattered and ache like hell.

4 days in Almeria (let hope nobody bins it 1st or 2nd day!) will be a lot though, probably only do 3 and then maybe the morning on the 4th and get home on the afternoon flight. Sounds fun doesn't it, whose up for it?

Yep, back on Thursday. It's a fantastic track, extremely techincal. It had been 8 months since I was on the bike after my high-side so was a bit nervous but doing 4 days really does make it more relaxing. Knackered after the 1st day and made a big mistake of going out until 2am! Next day with MacKenzie was excellent, really learnt those lines. Bike was superb. I fitted a TRE before I went and although more power in lower gears the throttle was much smoother - not sure you have and snatchy action on your K6 but this did smooth it out a bit.

I managed to get 10 seconds off my first day best time but still 4 seconds off where I wanted to be (sub 2min!), didn't do the last day as had to leave early. Some BSB boys were there for the K9 launch and were going around with us, they are very fast up close.

Overall there was 5 offs first day, 1 second and none 3rd so pretty good! I had a little tour in to the gravel but made it back on track without getting flagged!

My mate hired a cam for 1 day so hopefully get some vid posted soon!

Sounds like you had fun, may have to consider something similar for next year. Looking forward to the pics/video.

Still to put my bike on the road, I've just got back from some skiing and now need to sort the insurance. When I test drove it the throttle action seemed fine, but I will keep it in mind, but I fancy keeping the gear indicator.

I got the blue display which goes nicely with the paint scheme and have it over the gear indicator on the dash. Much clearer and you can play with the settings. Very quick to fit as well
