The Pilot Road 2CT is more than upto fast road riding AND has really good life. I used the Pilot Roads on my 600RR and they were faultless.

I'd go to a different garage.

Actually I'd buy what I want from ebay and get them to fit it.

pilot 2ct doesn't narrow it down whether it's a pilot power 2 ct or pilot road 2ct

Im currently running PP2CT and think they are pretty good. Never had a grip issue even on bigger throttle opening when leaning. They wear evenly when you are doing pretty average mix of straight and bendy roads. Im not totally sure what im getting next but thinking Avon storm Ultra 2's. Id ask how much for Pilot Powers (none 2ct) as they are cheaper last a little longer and offer pretty much the same performance...

I've also used PR2's and they are goof tyres, last a long time as well!!!

What life of the tyres I get;

-PR2's 10k rear 12k front
-PP2ct 4-5k rear 7k front

Other people seem to get a lot less range, not sure why, I certainly don't tickle them, maybe weight cos im a light one.

It's pilot power 2ct. So what's the difference between power 2ct and road 2ct?

Pilot powers are very soft, give lots of grip but dont last long. Pilot Road, not as grippy (though you probably wouldnt notice tbh!) and will last a lot longer!

i use pilot road 2's, i ride quite fast and on the road I have never had an issue with them, done 2 track days with them and they again are brilliant, would have prefered some race tyres but they did the job great. 2 track days and about 2k miles and they still look new

Interesting, that seems quite low (although not unheard of) - I have had PP2CTs fitted and just scrubbed them in over 3 days in Portimao - supposedly a very abrasive track where by the end I would need to fit the new rear (which I bought and now have spare!). To be honest though, the wear isn't that great, and I wasn't too slow or anything (inters). I did see Power Ones that seemed quite shredded though, so I figured it was the tyres.

Oh and they never gave me any worries, no twitching or anything throughout the whole time.

My pilots lasted 4500 mls ,just done 1900 on 023s looks like they could go to 5500. for touring I'd go for 023s,fairly good on the twisty's,managed to pass a wanabe sports bike rider on a R1 up hartside today..[ i think his heart ruled his head when he bought it ]
