Haha well im due in the inters then! Just want one more session in the novice to get use to the cornering speed of the R6 compared to my road going SV. EVERYTHING is different on the 2 bikes so takes a bit of getting used to.

Just bear in mind that there's no big cutoff at each group, rather there's a continuum between adjacent groups. The fastest riders in the novice group will be quicker than the slowest in the inters.

If you find yourself carving past slower riders a lot, it's definitely time to move up. I held back for ages and it was a mistake, one I'm trying to learn from this time round.

I know what you mean about changing bikes though. If you think the SV and R6 feel different, imagine what it's like switching between a KTM supermoto and a gixer thou, from the moment I reach for the bars or try to find the pegs with my feet.

I understand how you feel mate my brother has a KTM 690 Duke R and a KTM 690 SM after after jumping off my SV then onto his bike its unreal! What gixxer you got? 600,750 or 1000?

Haha sorry mate my reading in work seems to be a bit poor! I was wondering why your bike picked up soo quick on the straights compared to my R6 haha

Had a GREAT day with my dad at snetterton yesterday! and now realise im a bit too quick for the novice group lol fastest lap of the day on the R6 was 2:21 which i guess isnt too bad.

Im in work at the min so cant watch it but will defo watch it side by side later on tonight im always on the hunt for tips where i could go faster! Hopefully with my new rubber i should gain a bit more confidence!
