Flat out, 70HP would use around 24 litres per hour. Sounds like you work wringing it out pretty well round that track.

I average 60 mpg doing a 80 mile round trip each day that is split 40:40 motorway to city. I brim the tank every two days for £11-13 depending on "wind direction" so works out about £130 a month.

It was off the road before xmas so I was on train for a month. It was costing me £250 a month and an extra 45 mins journey time each way (7.5 hours a week!).

Bike's a K8 and has recently gone over 30k

Default Real world mpg

Somewhere between 40 & 50 on the SV depending on my mood.

On the vstrom though, I average ~72 and have even seen all the way up to 93.

The later SVs have twin sparks so they are better on fuel and that's the engine the vstrom has.

Not sure what my MPG is but I from a full tank (filled on the stand), the light comes on between 140-145 miles, most miles I've done before re-filling was 180 & the tank still had a litre or so in it.

This is a 90 mile round trip, 50 miles of it being on a motorway where Im riding 80-90mph all the way.

All through winter & when it rains, I use 1 of these: http://www.getgeared.co.uk/weise-the...-suit-wp-black - never been cold (apart from feet!) & doesnt let a drop in, even in the heaviest rain, I ride to work everyday & even when its been -5 I was still warm.

2008 (twin spark) 650 with 40k on the clock by the way

My 2001 SVS used to get nearly consistently 170 miles to the warning light. Which i think is 55mpg.

On a trip i managed 230 miles to the light, and sometimes if i did a series of sunday quick runs id see 140 miles to the tank.

Didnt think it was that good at the time after coming from a 125 doing nearly 120mpg, but now I've got the VFR im finding it was pretty good. The VFR does about 35-40mpg in the same conditions. But it is also a lot faster. So i shouldn't complain.

Default Real world mpg

I've had as low as 80 miles before the light on my 02 and the highest I've seen is around 160.

I get between 130 and 140 miles before the light, quite often stretch it to 170 before filling (Solid light)

Worth noting though, I hammer it all the way up to the speed limit (95% of the time) and about 80% of my weeks riding is two up.
