Re: Unmarked Police Cars.
Seems like if it's gunmetal grey or blue and fast looking you'd better slow down!

Re: Unmarked Police Cars.
Remember that alot of fire service use unmarked cars with blues aswell. That might explain the older cars eg the veccy mentioned above

Re: Unmarked Police Cars.
Nah this one was a GUY he turned them on to pull someone over. I haven't seen an unmarked fire car thingy. They seem to have 'Fire' on the side or something but not blank.
Sorry didn't realise how offensive that was -on knees begging for forgiveness- Last edited by Thingus; 11-05-09 at 06:36 PM. Reason: being an idiot |

Re: Unmarked Police Cars.
Good idea for a thread. Wouldn't it be better having a section in each of the regional sub forums though?

Re: Unmarked Police Cars.
I cant really see the use of this thread becasue you arnt going to remember all this information incase you see a car in your area. What are you going to do, acess the .org on your lap top via your 3 internet while doing somthing else illegal to see if the car infrom of you is a police car??
Also, if you see the car, its probably too late to do anything about what law you are braking unless you come up behind it, in which case you will be able to tell its a police car by give aways like areals, extra lights, extra mirrors, extra computors in the front, policemen in uniform sometimes etc. yes there are unmarked cars out there, so what, just be aware that they are possibly around the next corner and observe the cars around you, which you should be doing anyway. imo if you are going so fast that it isnt safe to have this level of observation, you are going too fast. It is easy enough to do this at 'normal motorway excess speeds'! |

Re: Unmarked Police Cars.
It gives a good idea of what to look out for though. There are certain makes of car that are common within this list so people can now be aware around these vehicles and perhaps be a bit more vigilant when going for a quick overtake.
