Re: Prince of Wales helps biker in Scotland
In all the patting of the back of Ol Prince Charley he's hardly like just to drive past is he, he's done nothing more than the average man would have done! Could you imagine the backlash had he driven past.
Headline: Prince Leaves Man for Dead in Ditch It would hardly the greatest PR stunt. I'm not slatting the guy, I quite like him as it happens, I'm just pointing out that nothing really amazing has taken place other than one man has help another. |

If you are going to crash and you cant manage to do it in front of an ambulance thats not a bad option.
I met Charlie once, and he has so much more personality than his public image. Good for him.

At least the poor biker did not have to further suffer mouth to mouth from Camilla!

Re: Prince of Wales helps biker in Scotland
but it would have been easy for him to drive past worrying it could be some kind of ambush. You know how mad a world we live in! I think he always seems very level headed, he's more than aware what position of power and influence he has yet he just goes about his every day business

Re: Prince of Wales helps biker in Scotland
Have you never come off a bike then? Most cager don't stop. Besides, how would we have know it was Prince Charles, if he'd not stopped? In any event, I don't think he made a calculated decision, "Ho hum, best stop and help, or it'll be all over the tabloids." I think he's probably a decent bloke, saw the guy crash and did what he could to help.
