if your going the new top yoke route then get Matt to make you one that way you can use any front end you want. you just tell Matt what forks and bottom yoke you have and what year of SV you have.

trust me the k1-2 1000 forks are ****TTTTTT keep away from them.

i personally think the silver of the srad forks would look much better with the silver frame.

Matt who's Matt

Even after spring and oil upgrade??

Feels like I've just wasted money now.

I'm going to be doing a project bike I'm thinking of chrome or black frame so I'm happy with the gold.

So what is the best USD forks to go for and set up ??

if you already have the forks then use them. its not the springs/oil thats the problem with them its the valving. personally the K4-5 600/750 forks are the ones to go for, they have their problems as well such as the tube bushings go in them, telltale sign is them leaking. the srad are also good forks as much kinder to the teeth as the valving is much more forgiving. easy to service, they are sprung for riders up to 11st max.

dont be fooled by people saying the suspension should be stiff... its not it should be compliant for road use.

Matt is CNC yokes

he was fine with me. i think he has bucked his ideas up.

got my yoke in fairly quick time. had a problem and he sorted it in 3 days at no extra charge and it was even my fault.

just found this statement on a gixxer website.

Quote:
GSXR 1000 K1/K2 use six pot, non radial calipers and 320mm discs. No other calipers will fit.
is this true as i have heard people using other calipers maybe from a K3/K4 or R6 calipers
