Re: Thanks For The Memories
Gutted to hear the news Lissa. It was you and Pete that first got me started with all this riff raff. Hopefully we'll meet up again at some point in the year.

Re: Thanks For The Memories
ooo thats a nice clot!
Dad got one round there that nearly killed him off after one of his major ops, so I know how risky they are. Does Pete get to have a nice filter put in, in the shape of a xmas tree? To keep any that break off nicely chopped up? All the best to Pete, hope they sort it out sharpish, its not all bad, hes had it found before it got him randomly, which is far worse. So whats this Mr2 then? Does it come with big bore noisy end can....and does it take diesel

Re: Thanks For The Memories
Lissa and Pete, sad to hear the news. EVERYONE will miss your friendliness and companionship on rideouts and meets.
I know the constraints of health issues as you know. Things can improve and indeed do and hopefully this is only a rest period?? I am sure we will see you out and about, take care both JOHN |

Re: Thanks For The Memories
So sorry to hear this, Lissa & hope Pete gets sorted out promptly
As Seggons says, you were also the first .orgers I met ( at Bellingham ) and have you to thank for so much of the fun this old frat has had since. Just glad that nice timwilky wasn't the first I met ! My hiccup last year has been resolved & just waiting for better weather ( ever the wimp ! ) as I've lots of miles to make up. BTW couldn't see the Duke in ' For Sale ' second thoughts, or aren't we good enough for it? All the best & see you around.

Re: Thanks For The Memories
Gutted for you both. I first met you both on the S&WS Invasion of the Vallies in 2007 and have always enjoyed your company since. Its a sad day for the Org when two of its most dedicated members get forced into retirement, but, as has been said by others, it doesn't mean you can't come to the AR or other events. I, for one, will be looking forward to our next meeting.
GWS Pete, hope it all goes well for you. Cheers, Nick

Re: Thanks For The Memories
My eyes have welled up reading this, has to happen to the nicest people. Can't believe it really, although you've both certainly had a good biking innings together. Dare I say it, that yeller Duc will be sorely missed in the rideouts to come and that fashion icon of an ovine , oh and its faithful steeds Who we going to race about northern Scottieland with now?*
Will you be attending any meetups on 4 wheels? Look after that Pete Lissa, really hope to see you soon and do keep in touch. *Actually, don't think we'll be racing anywhere now with the costs of fuel atm, you couldn't have chosen a better time to quit it I guess Last edited by missyburd; 19-02-11 at 01:04 PM. |
