Well if you want to get fit your more likely to put on weight, and it might be the exercise that is causing you not fit any more.

If your less then 10 stone then your fine.

Depends on the excersize that your doing though, If your thin already and doing weights then you will bulk up and put weight on.

There a fine line, its getting it right

Might I make a suggestion.

When we did this on the pushbike forum I'm on we kept a thread going for it and then everybody weight themselves on a Monday morning and posted the results. I found it was a good motivator and it helped seeing my weight drop each week.

Are we going to do something similar might help keep the motivation up ?

Yep, I found that, I was at best 9 stone, then went to the gym and shot up to 10 and half. Was a few years ago.
Now I'm tubby, though I have noticed since joining the gym I have not moved in weight yet but the muscle in my arms is coming back.

Thats the problem, you need to be careful so that you do excersizes that burn fat rather than produce muscle. If you do the wrong stuff you will stay tubby but put on weight in the form of muscle underneath the tubbyness.

Weightloss isnt just battering it out at the gym though, food consumption aswell sadly which is the harder part.

I think that defo sounds like a plan......

I'll weigh up tonight on the scales at home and take a snap of the dreaded number that turns up and start from there.
