Bound to be a fuse you can pull out...
I'm more concerned about the extra £800 price tag that will come with any new bike, should ABS ever become compulsory.
And the discs cost a bit more to replace than normal discs as well, don't they?

Not that I've ever had a bike long enough to need to replace the discs it's not my fault, people keeping running 'em over...

I hope so . Look at the CBF600, the difference in price is only £300 and is well worth it IMO. I for one wouldn't pretend that I'm that good that I can guarantee to save the front if it goes AWOL. Certainly a switchable system would cater for all.

And yes I think it's due to be mandatory in the next five years anyway just like cars are today.

We'll I've had 4 front wheel slides, and I've only saved it once - but I'd still rather not have ABS. If I want to get from A to B in the safest way possible, I take the car

It's not mandatory for cars. TVR doesn't have any driver aids, neither does the Elise.

Obviously you've got a larger bank balance than me.

Ah, the get out clause is that it doesn't apply to small volume manufacturers with less than (X)000 models produced per year.

Interesting

Is it legal to have the option to switch it off?

I am routing to find out what the changes are for the K6...I should know by late September or certainly by the time our dealer conference is held end of October..

As soon as i know i will let you know!!!

Oh yes, www.suzuki.com is the best site as the US customers get their new bikes before us..they already have the GSXR1000K6 listed on their site....i likes the Red one

Bear in mind though the colours they get can be different to what we get..normally the overall spec is the same.

I would also expect that if they did an ABS version they would also do a non ABS model, like on the Bandit 650.
