Are you sure you've fitted it the right way round

Viney - Cheers I'll have a look at that

Dr Rich - yes I'm sure

I've had an email back from Evolution about my hugger.

sorry for the delay in replying, we've been trying to figure out what's happened !
I'll be upfront and honest and say that whilst we've sold dozens of these huggers without problems, we've just heard from another customer who (looking at the photographs) has exactly the same problem. First thoughts (after the hugger had "deformed") was maybe Suzuki have changed the swing arm in some way but whilst a couple of small changes have occurred we've accounted for this and other huggers have been fine.
The most likely cause is the "mould" itself has deformed, each mould has a limited lifespan, repeated use, constant heat changes etc whilst we make the mould strong to account for this and they normally last several years we obviously need to do some quick R&D to remedy the situation i.e. retake measurements and fitting points on a bike to eliminate all possibilities which unfortunately may take us a couple of weeks to sort out.
Unfortunately this situation is not ideal for yourself, i would therefore suggest we can issue a immediate refund to enable you to purchase another hugger or should you wish to wait, we can again issue you a refund and when the situation is rectified we send you a replacement and when you are totally satisfied with the hugger we then look at payment less a discount for inconvenience caused.
Once again i apologise for this situation and look forward to receiving your comments.

Seems like they know how to look after a customer which makes a change. I cant fault their service at all so I'm going to wait and see if they can sort out their mould before I do anything else.

That's excellent stuff from the company though, well impressed.

Mine wears a Pyramids one, which I got cheap off Ebay because it was (spit) fake carbon fibre

I got an official suzuki one (colour matched in black). Pricey, but:
a) Colour match is 100% spot on (unsuprisingly)
and
b) It fitted properly, first time, no need for drilling etc.
