There is no straight forward answer to this. Simply adding or taking off weight just moves the resonant frequency around. Removing the source of the vibration is the best approach, but if not practical, try no bar ends, lighter bar ends and heavier bar ends until the vibrations are optimised as far as possible to your expectations.

Adding 1 tooth to the front sprocket moves the vibration patch out of the usual 70 - 80 mph cruising range, so I don't have any problems with vibes.

Sounds like an idea maviczap. I wouldn't mind losing a few revs at that speed. Where did you get the sprocket?

I honestly can't remember, I did the swap about 5 years ago. But any sprocket supplier should do one. You lose some tiny bit of acceleration, but never bothered me
