Crikey - didn't know about the noise limit...well, I didn't realise they were strict on it. Anglesey and Mallory weren't.

Where's the best place to get it checked? I'd wager mine is nowhere near the limit...I could put the baffle in, but not sure that would even help

It's with No Limits @ £79. Not bad as it means I don't lose a days holiday from work to do it.

There is another on Sat 5 Feb with Focused Events @ £75 which is almost full.

Nobby, I got mine checked at Oulton when I went to watch a track day as they were doing others on a lunch break. Did it no questions asked, told me the level and put a sticker on the bike to say it had passed.

Hmmm...don't fancy riding all the way there just for a db test. I'll ask the local shop to see if he's got a tester.

It should go through with a baffle in. MSV are a pain in the rear when it comes to noise testing You have to have your bike tested before they allow you out.
The FZR had a stubby can & I forgot my baffle..... 118db...

I'll be booking into the 'Novice' group when I get home, will see you there for my first track day

(said I'd do some last year but never got round it, but going for it this year)
not strictly true, they have an allocation of loud days (105) and quiet days (102). Just need to make sure you attend the right one if you have a noisy exhaust.

ACU race regs are up to 105.

Just checked, it seems that all Oulton No Limits days are in the 102dB allowance.

Interesting, I was told all track days (not sure about ACU test days/events) are now going to be 102db no matter who it's with. Focused Events are enforcing the same 102db limit from January 2011 last I checked.

(Now's the part where you tell me both of those are part of the same overall group? I don't know, just going off what's been mentioned by them.)

Col - 118db, ha!

Cool..I'll start her up at 9pm, you should be able to get a reading if you go to the bottom of your road

If my man doesn't have one, I might pop over Mike. Would be good to catch up (and rob some of your tea and biscuits!).

Do you fancy the day out at Oulton, or are you packing in track days too?
