Ok cheers guys, I'll give Debs a ring and see what we can arrange. I know its a shame Mark had to go on Easter weekend but then again he probably did that on purpose as Christmas was fully booked.

Right, I managed to get through to Debs finally, she is free on Saturday the 3rd of April and happy to welcome us all for a cup of tea. Her house is in Riseley just south of Reading off the A33, so what I propose is that there be several meeting places. I will be riding down from Banbury to H cafe where I can meet people at about 11am. We can pay our respects to Mark, then ride down to the Shire Horse for about 12 noon. We can meet anyone else there and then ride over the Reading to have a cuppa with Debs at about 1pm or so. Does that sounds like a plan?

If you could stick your name down and what part of the journey you will be happy to attend that would be very helpful. Cheers guys.

.
Alternative I suppose would be to have Shire people meeting a bit earlier then all hooking up at Dorchester & meandering by routes devious back to Riseley... what ever suits.

Sarah, the speed should be OK for you. If not you can always ride with me "steering" round the bends.

I'll be up for the whole day but the only problem is the H cafe has been closed.

I saw about the cafe, but we still need somewhere to stop and chat, so we can meet there for a start. Could eat at the Maccy D's at Benson maybe?

And yes, a group meeting at the Shire before and riding up would be a good idea. Everyone just make plans to somehow get to ex-H cafe at the right time, rest should work itself out.

Sarah, it ain't going to be a fast one, its a social and rememberance ride. You can come however you like .
