It so will be. The show jumped the shark after series 5.

They're all getting on a bit. And I doubt Clare Grogan will come back (she refused to be Kochanski in Series 7 and 8 because the script sucked so hard, or so I heard) either.

Despite the loss of Hattie Hayridge, season six wasn't that bad. Gunmen of the Apocalypse was fantastic. Seasons 7 & 8 were definite shark-jumpers though. Just goes to show, Grant/Naylor together were brilliant but when Rob Grant left, the magic left with him.

I heard she was just "unavailable," whatever that means. Even so, no one else could be Kochanski for me. Chloe Annett was too posh, wooden and annoying. Although, the scripts didn't help

I'm surprised no-one has bumped this in the adverts.

Is it just me, or does the acting seem a little off, it was hard to put my finger on until Jen said they look "wooden" - that's exactly right.

There's a lack of continuity, where did Lister get the suit from?

It's too high budget, the CGI sequences, the LED flashing panels in the mess room. It's just all wrong IMO.

There's no laughter soundtrack! It just sounds wrong. And lister cried! And theere's no comic timing. The cat and kryten had a few good one liners but rimmers stuff wasn't very good

Agree about Chloe Annett. Too wooden. Scripts weren't great either. But i love red dwarf so can let most things go.

Seen the first part of return to earth. Why have they split it into 3?!?!? its way to short for an episode. Would rather have had it all in one go.

Hard to judge it since its such a short episode, but depending on how the rest goes it could be ok. Can someone explain why the second russian hologram appeared??? Not that i'm complaining though

saw a quote somewhere that this 3 parter is supposed to be more serious so guess that explains the "crying". Trying to keep and open mind
