Re: AR09 - Question - fuel stop(s)
Think you should be OK if you're going for something in this range... I've never had any problems getting a hundred miles out of both tank and bum, but I'd aim low because you're almost certain to get someone who won't fuel up at the one nearest the campsite (like me at NW4, arriving at the first scheduled stop with less than a litre in the tank).

Re: AR09 - Question - fuel stop(s)
65 miles sounds like a good ride. Looking forward to seeing the route

Re: AR09 - Question - fuel stop(s)
It'll be more than that. The 65 is probably only halfway

Re: AR09 - Question - fuel stop(s)
i will hopefuly be filling the tank up when i get there on the friday, to save messing about before the rideout
so im good for 100+ miles so the 65mile stop is fine with me (if everyone fills up before the rideout, i cant see the problem with the the 1st petrol stop in 65miles) Last edited by hovis; 07-01-09 at 09:47 AM. |

Re: AR09 - Question - fuel stop(s)
Sorry, I meant good first leg of a ride.
Some nice roads in Essex, Herts, Suffolk. EAMG (local IMA type group) do some 5 county rideouts. Might be able to help with a route. I'd chip in with suggestions but I never know where I am on the bike let around remember what route I rode
