I had my earwax hugger fitted when I bought the bike from dealer although they didn't mention that it wasn't a Suzuki one that were going to fit. Only found out when I collected the bike although don't think it was a huge problem being earwax as it looks great however I was peeved as they fitted it so it touched the right side if tyre and by the time of my first service it had started to mark the tyre (not in a dangerous type of damage but it would have become risky eventually. My Thundercat riding girlfriend warned me not to go too fast on acceleration until it was corrected and at the first service I complained and the dealer fitted a spacer and it is now ok. :P

I had a hugger fitted by the dealer which was a Pyramid one as they claimed not to be able to get a Suzuki one for a K4. It is crap to say the least so will be keen to see how other people get on with different makes before I change mine.

It has been on a month and already has stress cracks in and chunks missing plus the brackets that hold it to the swining arm on the right side are to big so had to be packed out to stop it sliding around.

In summary it was a real waste of cash.

Default skidmarx hugger

hello,

just a quick word to say that be careful when ordering skids huggers,
i was led to believe that a skidmarx 2003sv hugger would fit a k4, but it DOES NOT, the rear brake hose clip will not line up with it.

If you order one speak to alan at skidmarx and he will sort one out ( I sent mine back he had a new one made up)

I too have a Pyramid hugger - carbon fibre, so not cheap
Unfortunately I believe it's for a K3 model, which is slightly different from the K4, so the damn thing rubs on the corner of the toolbox.

So the corner of the toolbox is wearing away, as is part of the hugger
