handy for the Irish & Brits from across the water and also our friends from south of the wall

Langholm Rugby club would be a good bet in the borders as they allow camping, also only 200 yards from some decent hotels for the wimps

they have hosted some big bike "doos" in the past so know what they are doing

also Langholm is a good night out with the locals

plenty of good biking roads as well, the A68 would suit Q

As we have played host to the Irish on 2 occassions and Macs mob then why dont we travel to them and they can host us

For those not familiar with OS maps "PH" denotes the Drovers Inn. The tent symbol is a bit in the wrong place, the campsite is at Beinglas, over the bridge a couple of hundred yards up the road. The hotel is directly opposite the pub.

Borders somewhere is less travel for them southerners, but Inveraran would show off the best of the scottish scenery (glencoe, sea lochs, etc).
