I have hood jeans, I called them up and asked if they could adjust the waist and length and it was sorted no worries. Very helpful on the phone.

Well they are lined with a rather thick material, its more about the look, ease and feel. So if you go to the pub or something you done feel completely out of place. I do fine them much cooler and less 'sticky' then my leathers though.

But with the padding in of the Hood you still do - "They look like the worst pair of jeans I've ever seen" was the comment I got

Yes I know the padding is removeable (not easily), but I prefer it there to do it's job, and it's why I chose Hood over Draggin.

I just wish it had been pointed out to me before I bought them.

Maybe it's better to be in the pub in leathers & people know you wear them 'cos you're on the bike rather than padded jeans & people just think you look ridiculous

I don't have the armour in my hoods so I look normal, no ones ever said any thing bad about them to me... Maybe you have odd knees.

Just read the link

KevlarŪ is an advanced organic fibre that is five times stronger than steel on an equal weight basis. It is lightweight, extremely comfortable and provides excellent impact resistance.
Surely Kevlar has excellent abrasion resistance - but you require padding to provide impact resistance?
Would you want to be buying from a company that doesn't even understand this?
