as it happens i'm going up on the 12-13-14-15th July.

i'll hopefully be staying at Smoo and Glenbrittle SYHA or see if i can get a decent priced B&B as i don't do tents

funny i was going to nip along to Kinlochbervie on the way down but i have decided not.

i was thinking of coral beach but i cant walk far.

We're setting off on our round the coast trip on the 14th - I'll wave as we pass.

Sod tents. Just as cheap in bunkhouses. Paying £17 a night at stromeferry and durness.

i agree why bother with soggy tents.

ok so sites cost about £7 and roughing it costs nowt and is a lot of fun if it's not raining.

Yeah, though my tent packs tiny and weighs less than a kilo. Mainly though I am too lazy to actually be organised so I will just drive places and then either get a cheap bed or camp

Also I do a 6 on 4 off shift pattern so I may do it on weekdays so would likely get lucky with places being quieter/cheaper.

You're starting in the Long Toon but heading west to pick up the M90 Would have thought B9097/B920/A911 and pick up the M90 further up

2nd link, no Applecross - pass of moo cows

Oh forget that, see its day 3

Wowee! That's a proper tour of the northwest. You must have a cast iron butt to do such intense mileage.

I can check if I'm free and tag along for a wee day trip.
